What experience do I need to own a fueling franchise with FuelFox?
You do not need petroleum industry experience or a background in management. You just need the willingness to work hard and follow our proven playbook to build your own mobile fleet fueling business. FuelFox will give you the necessary tools to get your franchise started and help you succeed.
What is provided as part of the FuelFox franchise program?
We are going to teach you everything we know about the business and equip you with all the bells and whistles that come with our brand. You and other key members of your team will train with us at our flagship location to learn the administrative and field operations skills necessary to start your mobile fleet fueling business. Then we’ll join you at your location to make sure you’re up and running! Plus, you will have access to our exclusive confidential operations manual to help operate your program properly on a day-to-day basis.
How much will the FuelFox franchise program cost me?
The estimated initial investment necessary to begin operations ranges from $130,300 to $173,300 per location. This includes a $75,000 initial franchise fee for a single unit agreement. As with any new venture, it’s important to have adequate capital to fund your initial business growth stages.
Is financing available?
We do not provide direct financing to franchise owners, but we may refer you to financing sources on a case by case basis. We have multiple 3rd party franchise funding experts that we can introduce you to for funding discussions.
Are there ongoing fees to pay?
We charge a royalty rate equal to the greater of 9% of gross profit or $3,000 your first year in business, which will be raised each year thereafter until year five when it caps at the greater of 9% or $15,000 in monthly gross sales. Royalties allow us to fund our ongoing support services, training, and the continued development of training programs and systems upgrades to guide you when you own an on-site mobile fleet fueling business with FuelFox. There is a $250 per month technology fee. For a full list of fees and requirements, please refer to our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).
Are there any advertising fees?
FuelFox franchise owners are required to contribute up to 2% of gross profits into the system/brand marketing fund (this contribution starts at 0.5% of gross profits). Collected funds will be used to develop marketing strategies and materials designed to help promote the FuelFox brand. Franchisees should spend up to 1% of gross profits on local marketing efforts. Franchise owners should also expect to spend $10,000 to $15,000 prior to the commencement of business, to promote the grand opening.
What is the term of the agreement?
The initial term of your agreement is five years, with two subsequent successor agreement options of five years each.
